The English Schools Football Association is the national governing body for all schools football and has been delivering inter school and representative competitions for over 100 years. E.S.F.A. has the the remit from the Football Association and Department of Education to provide a comprehensive competition structure based around the National Competition Framework.
The 418 District Schools' Football Associations (which include Swindon Primary Schools Football Association) have sole responsibility to manage competitive football between schools' teams and district representative teams.
E.S.F.A. organise 3 national 7 a-side competitions (relevant to primary age range pupils) which affiliated district football associations may enter. These are:-
Swindon P.S.F.A. organises the district heats of the above competitions before Christmas as part of our overall programme of inter-school competitions. The winners and runners in each of the three competitions then qualify for the County Finals which are organised by the Wiltshire Schools' Football Association. These are usually held the following January.
